Aintree Boats has a long history of producing wide-beam boats, but as demand has grown in recent years they've begun building ever more - at the time of writing, four are currently under construction at their Liverpool premises. Their most recently completed example is Fine Fettle, a 57ft-long,12ft-broad boat that was originally planned as a standard wide-beam, but took on ever more unique styling as the build progressed through the involvement of its owner. Upon stepping aboard, the boat's large internal space becomes readily apparent. The interior is ultra-modern, a characteristic perhaps suggested by the cream superstructure and maroon top bend of the exterior. Concealed inside is colour-changing LED lighting on the white ceiling and walls, while the bulkhead has copper-effect wallpaper, making it a feature in its own right. Such 21st-century styling means that, were it not for the portholes and Reflecks diesel stove, you'd be hard-pressed to know you were on a boat at all!
