Appeal for 'mystery dog walker' witness in CRT towpath murder

Police have made an appeal to find a dog walker photographed on a towpath, shortly before a CRT towpath licensing ranger was allegedly murdered. The ranger was found seriously injured, and subsequently died, on the Aylesbury Arm of the Grand Union Canal on 26th April. Thames Valley Police said the picture was taken at 12:10pm, just before the incident. It appears to show someone walking a dog along the towpath, near to the car park on Broughton Lane. "We believe that this person may have information relating to this investigation that could be very important," said Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood.
