3RD IWA SPECIALISED CONFERENCE ON SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR TECHNOLOGY

SBR3 was held on 22-26 February at Australis Noosa Lakes Resort on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. It was quite an exciting event as it was the first time the conference was held outside of Europe. And the conference kicked off in style with a poolside welcome drink in a 40℃ heatwave. The conference was focused on the latest developments in the area of intermittent wastewater treatment processes and sequencing batch reactor technology. The conference program was 3 days, 37 oral presentations, 2 keynote addresses and an excellent poster display describing the different aspects related to SBR technology. There were 130 participants from 22 countries, 5 continents, which lead to good discussion from researchers, academics, students and practitioners.
