DISPERSION MODELLING: TRACING AND ANTICIPATING THAT ODOUR

In this paper we have highlighted the important role of dispersion models in the control and regulation of odours. Dispersion models bring a degree of objectivity to a subjective process and if interpreted, analysed and used correctly can give very realistic answers. The quality of the output of the dispersion model depends not so much on accurate odour emission rates but the model's ability to interpret and use the very best available meteorological data.
