The method involves modeling time-space behavior of a movable body such as pedestrian or cyclist provided from multiple states of the body. The states are defined by a minimum duration, transition duration, an average velocity, a standard deviation, the probability of change of state, and the probability of change of direction. Space occupied by the body during a time is estimated based on the behavior model. An independent claim is also included for a system for anticipating an impact of a motor vehicle with a movable body.
