Bob Boerner, president of Culligan Southwest Inc., a dealership in San Antonio, TX, and his sister, Kristi Stanford, co-owner of the business, were recently profiled in an article in the San Antonio Express-News about their ties to Culligan founder Emmett J. Culligan. Their grandfather, Wilbur L. Walton, teamed up with Emmett Culligan to form the first Culligan franchise in 1938. Their father, Gib Boerner, whom Bob recalls as "the quintessential Culligan man," later operated the business and died in 2002. Bob and Kristi (pictured) are the third generation to own the business, which now has 100 employees.
