In a win for environmentalists, a federal district court is requiring EPA to provide additional information to support its claim that it is unable to develop a trash cleanup plan for the Anacostia River in Maryland and the District of Columbia within one year as environmentalists are seeking. "[T]he Court concludes that the modest discovery requests at issue here-eight document requests and a single deposition-are proportional to the needs of the case," the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia says in a June 2 decision.
