Contrary to conventional Web wisdom, the browser war isn't over. Far from it. In fact, the battles have just begun. Only months ago, Netscape's Navigator, with 85 percent of the browser market, appeared to hold a distinct advantage over Microsoft's Explorer, which had garnered 8 percent of browser volume.
