Total to drill prospects around Brulpadda find

TOTAL and its partners in the major Brulpadda gas condensate discovery off South Africa plan to drill and test at least two exploration wells on nearby prospects in 2020, one of which, Luiperd, is potentially far bigger than the play-opening find. Located in about 1400 metres of water in Block 11B/12B, the Brulpadda wildcat, in February this year, hit gas and condensate reservoirs in its primary (Middle Cretaceous) and secondary (Lower Cretaceous) objectives, with the Odfjell semi-submersibe rig Deep-sea Stavanger drilling the Brulpadda-1AX re-entry well.
