摘要

An experimental study was carried out in a constant volume combustion chamber for clarification of the effects of non-homogeneous concentration distributions of the fuel-air mixture on the flame propagation. The mixture of propane-air was prepared by the reciprocating movements of a pair of perforated plates. The laser sheet Rayleigh scattering method was applied for a quantitative visualization of the mixture concentration fields, and the degree of inhomogeneity of the mixture distribution over the measurement plane was determined.
