Holdup Measurements in Support of Closure Mission at Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site

RFETS has found that through the use of a proven methodology, improved modeling of the measured item configuration and interactive feedback from other validated measurement techniques, that in-situ mass measurements can be performed to a 95% Upper Confidence Level. These measurements can then be used to support activities including: 1. Criticality safety evaluations for D&D activities 2. Criticality safety evaluations to allow the removal of a CAAS within a facility, and 3. DOE requirements for material control and accountability
