Do you run software on platforms to deliver services? Of course you do, we all do. I prepared this column on a well-known word-processing package, running on a similarly well-known operating system, all supported on a desktop PC and saved to a hosted data storage. For me "hosting" is Dropbox, Google's shared drive or some other remotely accessed platform. It is secure, but it is remote and dependent on the availability of reliable communications to access this remote location.
