The newest addition to the Royal Town Planning Institute Library Series offers a comprehensive look at the emergence of spatial planning policy within the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Edited by Simin Davoudi and Ian Strange, Conceptions of Space and Place in Strategic Spatial Planning utilises six case studies at various spatial scales to highlight the role that space and place has played in recent plan-making, thereby effectively extracting the founda-tional concepts employed within these plans.
