'Branch-cordon training' viticulture-mechanised crop regulation

摘要

With knowledge of the self-regulating capacity of grapes grown without pruning, and in order to tap the economic advantages at hand, we attempted to convert a single-curtain bearing vine plantation to self-regulation. During the experiment, we identified the previous year's fruit cane grapes, capable of self-regulation, which transformed into a bearing Twig over a period of several years. We worked out a method for switching single-curtain plantation to the "Branch-Cordon Training" Regime, and for regulation the crop by mechanical flower thinning.
