The Battle of Britain Locomotive Society has told The RM that it intends to retain ownership of No. 34081 92 Squadron and undertake the required overhaul of the 'Battle of Britain'. To this end, an application for HLF funding is being prepared.rnBBLS confirmed that offers have been received and, asrnpart of its duty to ensure funds were available for the well being of No. 34081, these have been considered.rnIt is understood that businessman Jeremy Hoskingrn- who already owns several main line steam locomotivesrn- has expressed a wish to own an unrebuilt Bulleid and this appears to be the origin of thernrecent conjecture, but the trustees emphasise that no meetings or discussions have taken place concerning a possible sale - and no decision to sell had been made.
