Facelift begins for Scotrail Class 320s

FIRST ScotRail has embarked on the refurbishment of its Class 320 fleet with the first set, No. 320014, being completed during June. The makeovers for the three-car trains is being project managed by Eversholt Rail Group and is being carried out during the routine maintenance cycles. Seven of the 22 sets are scheduled to be completed this year and the remainder by autumn 2013. One of the major components of the overhaul is the installation of new toilets that are fully compliant with disability regulations, and include a baby-changing table. This modification is costing more than £2million.
