Northern Rail has begun a programme to refresh its fleet of Class 142'Pacer'units. With the first units built now just under 30 years old, those inherited by Northern - from First North Western, Merseyrail and Arriva Trains Northern -have a mix of interiors, both in upholstery and seat style.
