In the past few decades the pace of change and technology in business has continued to accelerate. This accelerated rate of change means that products or processes are evolving more rapidly and the life cycle of these products is getting shorter. Moreover, the pace of change has a direct impact on the frequency and approaches to managing projects. All of this project activity has spurred a growing interest in ways to plan and control projects, and to organize and lead teams through these initiatives to successfully deliver and meet the needs of stakeholders.
