Chemical link to smaller babies

Parents who are exposed at work to controversial plastics chemical bisphenol A (BPA) tend to have smaller babies, Chinese research suggests. BPA is a component of polycarbonate plastic and the epoxy lacquers in food can linings. It is suspected of hormone-disrupting effects at doses below the safe level set by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and is linked to cancers, heart disease, impotence and other health effects.
