Collective's kiosks set for Glasgow

Collective Architecture has won planning permission for four 'lightweight, modular' kiosks in the pedestrian area of Argyle Street, Glasgow. The largest of the structures is a cafe building with a second-storey gallery and terrace level. According to the Glasgow-based practice the 'elevations are predominantly glazed to ensure structures appear translucent and to maintain views across the street'. Bronze louvred panels will provide a 'protective secondary skin'. The ￡500,000 scheme has been developed with artist Martin Boyce and engineers David Narro Associates.
