Judging by this year's RIBA National and EU Award winners, Jay Merrick, contributor to the AJ, is in agreement with the UK architectural profession. In the pages of the AJ (13.06.13) he ridiculed what I'll call the fauvism of recent British school architecture, comparing it to Neil Kinnock's fatal and booming 'We're alright!' invocations at the Labour Party's 1992 Sheffield rally.
