At 2,060, the number of female architects employed by the AJ100 practices isthe highest it has ever been. Proportionally, the UK's largest 100firms do betterthan the national average too-30 per cent of the architects they employ are women. Just 25 percent of the ARB register is made up of female architects, However, the proportion of women qualified architects employed bythe nation's largest firms has risen by just 1 per cent compared with last year (29 per cent in 2015). Contrast this with statistics from last summer that showed 41 per cent of ail new applicants to the ARB register were women.
