Jute imports from Bangla go up in April-Sept

The imports of jute and jute products from Bangladesh have recorded a considerable growth during April-September compared to corresponding period last year. As for imports from Bangladesh in September, the total quantity was 26,226 tonne, valued at Rs. 27.90 crores, representing a rise by 828% in terms of quantity and by 580% invalue terms, compared to September 2006 (2,826 tonne valued at Rs. 4.1 crores).
