摘要

The present invention relates to a process for coating metal nanoparticles preferably silver nanoparticle on surface of jute fibre/ textiles for enhancing functionality of jute fibre/fabric without any pre treatment with additional chemicals. Nanosilver coating of jute fibre/fabric improves mechanical properties of the jute fibre /fabric by reducing the void formation and improving the interfacial adhesion with unsaturated polyester resin for the development of natural fibre reinforced polymeric composite i.e. biocomposite. The increase in the interfacial adhesion between silver nano particle coated jute fabric and resin leads to improvement in inter laminar and in – plane shear strength of the polymeric composite.
