Mamata opposes 25% dilution order in jute

At a recent interactive session with the Chambers of Commerce in Kolkata, Union railway minister Mamata Banerjee chose to go on record opposing the proposed 25% dilution of the reservation order under Jute Packaging Material Act (JPMA) by the Union ministry of textile (MoT).rn"I do not support the 25% dilution recommended by MoT and would oppose it when the proposal is being put up before the Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs (CCEA) meeting, slated any day in New Delhi for consideration. We shall fight for jute industry," said Ms Banerjee when spokesmen of the Indian Jute Mills Association (IJMA) questioned her on the issue.
