FCC, Industry Urge Court To Reject 'DE' Rules Challenge

The FCC and the wireless industry are urging the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (Philadelphia) to reject a challenge to the Commission's new "designated entity" (DE) rules, which were used for the first time in the recent advanced wireless services (AWS) spectrum auction. A group of DEs that participated in the auction also urged the court not to overturn the sale's results.
