FCC Urges Court to Dismiss Plea To Reject Interim Unbundling Rules

The FCC and the U.S. Department of Justice have strongly urged the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington to reject a mandamus petition filed by the U.S. Telecom Association (USTA) and two Bell companies that seeks to invalidate the Commission's interim network unbundling rules. In the alternative, the Commission said the court should hold the petition in abeyance until Jan. 1, 2005.
