Indicatrices of the wave vector and phase and group velocities are determined for electromagnetic waves propagating through uniaxial crystals in the presence of the magnetoelectric effect. Explicit representations are derived for the angles between the phase and group velocity vectors of the waves and for the angles determining the group velocity direction. A qualitative analysis of the dependences of the group velocity vector direction and the angle between the group and phase velocity vectors on the phase velocity vector direction is performed. Magnitudes of the phase and group velocities of electromagnetic wavescorresponding to the maximum divergence angle of the respective vectors and their velocities along the coordinate axes within the x0z-plane are presented. The consequences following from the obtained results are analyzed for the case of electromagnetic waves propagating through uniaxial crystals in the absence of the magnetoelectric effect.
