Mogul has launched three ranges of performance nonwovens: flame-retardant (FR) spunbonds (Mopet TCS); polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) meltblowns; thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) fabrics. The company, which is based in Gaziantep, Turkey, says Mopet TCS is made from a monocomponent trilobal filament of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) containing a special FR additive. Without the need for further treatment, the fabric can self-extinguish a flame and any subsequent smouldering when measured in accordance with the tests described in UK standard Fire tests for furniture (BS 5852-2).
