GREEK-REVIVAL HOUSE

The original exterior of this early 1900s Connecticut home had nice proportions, but it lacked distinctive exterior-trim details. A remodeling project gave the homeowners an opportunity to add the details the house seemed to be calling for. Along with new corner boards and window casings, the design/build team added a new front door with transom and sidelites and a front portico embellished with Ionic columns and dentil moldings (photo left, facing page), as well as a balustrade atop the sunroom's flat roof.
