Motive and Method in Cognitive Counseling

摘要

This article examines a simple but highly effective cognitive technique for transforming negative, destructive dialogue into positive, motivational dialogue. The technique examines the underlying motive or goal behind negative communication and then evaluates how effectively the negative method of communication is at achieving this goal and introduces new methods when the negative method is seen as ineffectual.
