Erfahrungen und Perspektiven minderjähriger Flüchtlinge

Beyond the background of a great number of newly-arrived refugees in Germany, public debate in autumn 2015 focus on how to distribute them within Germany and to find suitable accommodation for them. Among refugees in Germany, there are many particularly vulnerable children and adolescents. Yet, there is hardly any empirical knowledge on their living conditions and subjective experiences. The research project launched in October 2015 at the German Youth Institute (Deutsches Jugendinstitut) addresses these issues. Exploring the living conditions of unaccompanied as well as accompanied refugee minors after their arrival in Germany is the main aim of this research project. Furthermore, we pay attention to their experience with the German support and reception systems of asylum seekers and refugees.
