Jeffery Keffer, president and CEO of Longview Power LLC, is hoping that under a Donald Trump presidency, his West Virginia power plant can serve as a blueprint for new coal generation. “I see a lot of smiling faces around here these days,” Keffer told S&P Global Market Intelligence. “I think people are really very happy about the fact they were able to take a position and they were able to follow through on it, and now they’re very interested in seeing what the future brings versus just a week or so ago when there was major concern about what the future may bring. There’s a lot of hope here in coal country.”
