摘要

Delegates and observers at the United Nations climate change conference in Marrakech, Morocco, say they are preparing for the possibility that the U.S. under Donald Trump may withdraw or otherwise disregard last year's hard-fought Paris Agreement to fight global warming. "Of course I'm worried about what the U.S. might do under President Trump," said Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, a former Peruvian minister of environment who was president of the UN's 2014 Lima climate change conference, which helped set the stage for last year's Paris summit. "I am an optimist, but the world's largest economy is an essential part of this process."
