Turkey's Besiktas shipyard has delivered the 15,100dwt tanker Mia Desgagnes to Canadian shipping company Desgagnes for operation on the St Lawrence-Great Lakes Seaway System. The Polar class dual-fuel oil/chemical tanker is the second of four similar ships being built by Besiktas for the Quebec-based operator and features a Waertsilae 5RT-Flex 50DF mainengine of 5,450kW output driving a four-bladed variable pitch propeller.
