New CBRNE vessel for Massachusetts

SAFE Boats International is putting the finishing touches to a new chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives (CBRNE) detection system-equipped patrol boat for the sheriff's office in Cape Cod, Massachusetts (MA). Surprisingly, perhaps, this is the first CBRNE system-enabled law enforcement craft to have been ordered for service between the ports of Boston, MA, and Providence in Rhode Island - a journey encompassing more than 640km of shoreline. The forthcoming vessel will measure 9.45m × 3.05m × 6.7m and is due for delivery by the end of Q1 2016.
