Simulating ECDIS

Vstep and PC Maritime have jointly developed a software interface intended to reduce the cost of ECDIS and radar training. Vstep had already developed an interface with Kelvin Hughes' and Maris' ECDIS systems and its Nautis bridge simulators now also connect to PC Maritime's Navmaster ECDIS to provide training colleges with a DNV-approved generic ECDIS training installation. Navmaster ECDIS displays the Nautis radar video as an overlay on the chart view, complying with an IMO recommendation in its new ECDIS model course.
