Le Symposium international organisé à Rome en juin 1998 par le Comité national italien de l'AIPCR présidé par Mme Maria Pia CERCIELLO, avec le concours du SITEB (Association italienne des bitumes) présidé par le Professeur Carlo GIAVARINI, a ╚é une étape importante pour la mise au point de la version finale du présent rapport. Le succès de cette manifestation technique qui a réuni plus de 300 participants venant de 38 pays a tenu pour une large part à la qualité de l'organisation assurée par l'équipe du Comité national italien de l'AIPCR animée par Piero Maggiorotti et Andrea Zavitteri.%The International Symposium organized in Roma in June 1998 by the Italian National Committee of PIARC, chaired by Mrs Maria Pia CERCIELLO, with the support of SITEB (Italian Bitumen Association) chaired by Professor Carlo GIAVARINI, was an important step in reviewing and revising the report. The success of this Symposium which gathered together over 300 participants from 38 countries was to a large extent due to the quality of the organization provided by the team of the Italian National Committee of PIARC under the direction of Piero Maggiorotti and Andrea Zavitteri.
