Forschung und Entwicklung im Betonstraßenbau von 2011 bis 2013

Working group 8 on 'concrete pavements' currently has five committees: Technical Contract Terms, Construction Materials, Design, Surfaces, Maintenance technology. As with all other committees, the coordinating body is the steering committee. The steering committee and the committees generally meet twice a year; the committees themselves meet as the work load requires. Over the past two years, work on existing and new standards and specifications has continued. Work on ZTV BEB-StB and TL BEB-StB was completed. Both are likely to be published in the first quarter of 2014. TP BEB-StB and TP Beton-StB are being completely reworked as a looseleaf publication with the working title TP Betonbauweisen. The Road and Transportation Research Association (FGSV) has also completed work on ZTV Fug-StB. Moreover, ZTV Beton-StB and TL Beton-StB were edited and necessary corrections were made. In this context, the general circular 4/13 (ARS) from the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) is worth a mention. Work on information sheets (memoranda) M VaB and W WT has also been completed. Both are due for publication in the near future. The usual on-going editing work on existing standards and specifications and information sheets also continued. The provision of support for ongoing research projects and the constructive involvement of the work of other working groups whose work relates to concrete pavements plays a major role in the work of working group 8, for example: the co-operation with working group 4 (Infrastructure management) and working group 6 (mineral aggregate, unbound pavements). Since the Concrete Pavement Conference 2011, 11 research projects on concrete pavements have either been completed or are about to be completed. For this reason, not all of the corresponding final reports are available at this moment in time. Fourteen research projects are ongoing. Following the positive experience gained with the General circular on the ARS problem and the research work that was conducted in parallel, the focus of research work is currently shifting more towards the design side of things, and in particular to the subject of surface properties.%Die Arbeitsgruppe 8 „Betonbauweisen" besteht nach wie vor aus 5 Arbeitsausschüssen. Die Anzahl und die Aufgaben der Arbeitskreise hat sich in den vergangenen zwei Jahren entsprechend den zu bearbeitenden Themenschwerpunkten gewandelt. Während in den letzten Jahren die Themenbereiche Alkali-Kieselsäure-Reaktion und Oberflächeneigenschaften dominierten, erlangten die Themen Oberflächeneigenschaften und konstruktive Fragen eine größere Bedeutung. Im Bereich AKR konnte unter maßgeblicher Mitwirkung des Arbeitsausschusses „Baustoffe" durch das zuständige Bundesministerium als weitere Präventionsmaßnahme das ARS 4/2013 herausgegeben werden. Die Arbeitsschwerpunkte im Bereich Oberflächen waren die Bereiche Griffigkeit und Lärm in Verbindung mit der Waschbetonoberfläche und den Grindingverfahren. Neben Forschungsvorhaben, die sich mit diesen Themengebieten befassten, konnte insbesondere im Verlauf des zurückliegenden Jahres eine ganze Reihe neuer Forschungsprojekte fortgeführt und zum Abschluss gebracht werden, die sich mit Themen wie White Topping, frühhochfeste Reparaturbetone für Waschbetonoberflächen, Stadt- und Landstraßen, Kreisverkehre usw. befassen. Nicht unerwähnt bleiben soll in diesem Zusammenhang die Arbeit am bestehenden und neu zu bearbeitenden Vorschriftenwerk. Stellvertretend seien an dieser Stelle die Veröffentlichungen der Merkblätter VaB, WT und DBT genannt.
