摘要

The azimuth angle feedback steering system shows enhanced performance in the situation where quick steering action is necessary but it requires continuous steering angle increments during turning, which results in some additional workload on drivers. Introducing yaw velocity feedback into the system enables the system to reduce the steering wheel angle increments and the yaw velocity damping. As a result the system can reduce drivers' workload and improve course following performance. The basic characteristics of this generalized azimuth angle feedback steering system and its relation with conventional and the simple azimuth angle feedback system are presented in this first report.
