Digital photography has many strengths and has become justifiably popular in recent years,but if s not perfect.Arguably its greatest weaknesses are high sensitivity to the camera settings used to take the picture and a lack of tolerance to very bright objects in a picture.Any objects that are too bright will turn to white and lose detail in the bright area,a phenomenon sometimes called 'burnout'.However,all is not lost as image faults like this can be repaired during photo editing using a technique known as 'patching'.
