The leamington Spa to Banbury line reopened on March 12 - three weeks earlier than originally expected - having been closed since January 31 after a landslide near Harbury. The route between Birmingham and London, the Thames Valley and South coast is used by 130 passenger and freight trains every day. It had been closed following a 350,000 tonne landslip a few miles south of Leamington Spa. Network Rail worked 24 hours a day to repair the landslip.
