Having announced last month that the route between Leamington Spa and Banbury would reopen by April 2 following work to clear the major landslip at Harbury (RBI480 p1), Network Rail has confirmed that passenger services will now resume 'from the start of service' on March 13. NR was expecting that freight trains might be able to resume running through Harbury this week, but only at night to allow 'the maximum of work to take place during daylight hours'.
