Secretary of State for Transport Geoff Hoon announced on March 26 the appointment of Anna Walkerrnas Chairman elect of the Office of Rail Regulation. Currently Chief Executive of the Healthcare Commission, she is due to succeed Chris Bolt on July 5 when his current term of office ends, subject to public scrutiny by the Commons Transport Committee. Bolt's current term as PPP Arbiter runs until December 2010.
