Train reliability improving

Over the 12 months to the end of Period 7 of 2012-13 on October 13, 84 of the 114 passenger fleets on the national network improved their reliability. Industry data reveals that in many cases the percentage improvement was in double figures.Reliability is now measured in terms of Miles per Technical Incident Number. Network Rail's TRUST train reporting system issues a TIN when a train has been halted for 3 min. The previous measure was based on a 5 min delay.
