Train reliability to improve in Paris

French Rail Network (RFF) and the infrastructure division of French National Railways (SNCF) have agreed to implement a €983 million plan signed in July by RFF and He de France Transport Syndicate (Stif) to reduce by 10% the number of incidents which delay train services inrnthe Paris area by 2012.rnThe plan covers 14 lines, of which five form part of the RER network. The work involves improving maintenance, accelerating renovation of the network, and a rigorous programme to improve the reliability of electrical installations.
