Train reliability continues to improve

Against a background of falling PPM scores (p7), rolling stock reliability is continuing to improve across most categories, according to Refocus fleet improvement programme data for 2016-17. For example, among the ex-British Rail DlvlUs, 16 out of 23 fleets improved their MAA Miles per Technical Incident score year on year. In many cases, double-digit percentage gains were achieved. More significantly, at the bottom of the table four fleets are below 7000 MTllNI MAA compared with seven last year.
