Having directed the successful Stagecoach/Virgin bid for the Intercity East Coast franchise where he is now leading the transition team, Andy Sparkes has been appointed Commercial Director at Virgin Trains East Coast. Finance Director Richard Bodicoat led on financial aspects of the bid and was Finance Director at East Midlands Trains in 2007-10. Formerly HR Director at EMT, Clare Burles has been appointed People Director at VTEC. Engineering Director Jack Commandeur has been Engineering Director at East Coast since July 2012, while Safety ft Operations Director Warrick Dent joins VTEC from Network Rail where he has been Area Director, Central, at the London North Eastern ft East Midlands Route. Major Projects Director Tim Hedley-Jones is currently Property εt Projects Director at East Coast, where he has also been responsible for the Compliance, Procurement and Intercity Express Programme teams.
