EU member states' recovered paper exports tumble during coronavirus crisis

The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted the international recovered paper trading activities of EU member states. Figures for the first-half published last week by the European statistical office (Eurostat) show how EU exports to third countries plummeted beginning in February and March.The collapse affected nearly all exporting and importing countries. Over the longer term, a significant shifting of trade flows is recognisable. In addition to India, Turkey and Indonesia are becoming especially popular destinations for European recovered paper exports.
