Germany: Demand for corrugated board and CCM holding up relatively well

The market for woodfree paper in Germany, which was already experiencing difficult times last year, is especially hard-hit by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the drop in advertising activity. There are now large gaps in their order books, say producers of coated and uncoated fine paper. Many producers have initiated or announced short-time work and want to scale back production or even suspend it entirely at certain plants.
